3D Designer Level II

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Read and interpret 2D shop drawings

Create 3D curtain wall units using Autodesk Inventor or similar

Participate in various multidisciplinary coordination session

Generate material takeoffs (MTO) and Bill of Materials (BOM)

Drafting in a variety of CAD environments (AutoCAD, Navisworks, Inventor, Rhino)

Taking part of various design training activities

Mentor and guide new hires

SOFTWARE:

Working experience with Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and Inventor

Knowledge of Rhino

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions and possess a wide degree of creativity to accomplish goals / problem solving

• Ability to read and understand architectural shop drawings

• Experience in curtain wall / construction is a plus

• Knowledge of general manufacturing

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's degree preferred, or Associate degree (with relevant experience) in Architecture, Engineering
